You Will Need:
2 beach towel
Sewing Machine
Scissors
Hoodie (For Pattern)
Step 1: Fold 1 of your towels in half. I left one side slightly longer in the back because I wanted this one to hang lower over the butt.
Step 2: Cut a neck hole out of the folded side. Try it on once it's cut to make sure it will fit comfortably.
Step 3: Turn inside out and measure out where you want you arm holes to start. Pin.
Step 4: Seam both sides from the arm hole down. I left a split in mine, but you can also take your seam all the way to the bottom of the towel.
Step 5: Flip right side out and try on to make sure everything is fitting the way you want.
Step 6: Okay onto the hood. This is where you need to grab a hoodie and your second towel. Fold the towel in half hot-dog way and place hood on top of towel.
Step 7: Cut around the hood leaving about an inch extra all the way around.
Step 8: Seam back and top of hood. Remember to sew inside out!
Step 9: Pin bottom of hood to the back of your neck hole. I think the easiest way to do this is to find the back middle of your hood and the dress portion and pin then move out and continue pinning from both sides. Make sure you are pinning right sides in and together as shown in picture below.
Step 10: Sew it up! It should turn out something like this when flipped right side out.
Step 11: Using the leftover scrap from the 2nd towel cut a pocket using a hoodie as a pattern. Be sure to cut an extra inch all the way around.
Step 12: Fold all edges slightly under to create a finished edge and seam. Once you've done that pin the pocket where you want it to sit on the towel hoodie. This time you pin right side out. and sew only along top, bottom and two smaller sides. Make sure to leave the two longer sides open so it can actually be a pocket. Trust me you don't want to make that mistake haha.
Whoooo! Thats it! You did it and now you have an awesome towel hoodie that all your friends will be envious of!
